Pachycereus marginatus, aka Mexican Fence Post Cactus, is a fun desert plant to have in your home. Plant your Pachyereus in well-draining soil and provide full sun with reflected heat or partial shade. It is drought-resistant but likes occasional water during the hot, dry months. Let the soil completely dry out between watering. The Pacheyerus is surprisingly tolerant of temperature drops down into the 30's and 40's. Fertilize 1-2 times per year.
