This pet-friendly plant is excellent for filling out that brightly lit space in your home. Tall and fluffy, Chamaedorea seifrizii is one of the few palms that can also tolerate moderate lighting conditions. Care is simple and easy; water thoroughly when the plant is dry (check using your finger 2" down or use a moisture meter) and fertilize twice per month during the growing season (April-October). Mist semi-regularly to deter spider mites, a common palm pest. Repot into a size 2" in diameter larger when you see roots coming out of the drainage hole.
