Acanthocereus tetragonus, aka the Fairy Castle Cactus, brings a little bit of magic and charm into our lives. It is a slow-growing plant that requires full sun and a very well-draining soil medium. Allow the soil to completely dry out in between waterings and let the excess water drain away when watering. During the winter, you should only have to water once every 3 or so weeks, while in the summer, you might be watering once per week. These plants are accustomed to living in nutrient-poor soils, so you will only need to fertilize them 1-2 times per year.
