Monstera dubia, aka the Shingle Plant, is a rare cultivar that is highly prized for its unique shingle growth habit. Provide your Monstera with bright-indirect light. These plants will tolerate moderate lighting, but they will grow slower. Like most Aroids, these plants are sensitive to overwatering. Allow the top few inches of soil to dry out before watering. These plants also benefit greatly from trellising or vining up a moss pole. Provide your Monstera ambient humidity via misting, a humidity tray, clustering with other plants, or a humidifier. Fertilize 1-2 times per month during the growing season.

Provide your Dubia with plenty of support so its leaves can lie flat against a surface as it climbs upwards. It is important to note that this is the plant's juvenile state. When they mature, they actually look somewhat similar to a Monstera deliciosa! This is a very slow-growing plant, which is why they are so rare- it takes a long time to propagate and grow them!
