Officially known as Tillandsia, these plants are completely soilless.  Most Tillandsia bloom once in their lifetime. When the plant is getting ready to bloom the leaves will turn a beautiful shade of dark pink or red.

Our Tillandsia varieties will vary. If you have any specific requests, please leave them in the notes and we will try to fulfill your order with the specific variety or style of air plant you are looking for.

Air plants plants are Xeric meaning they come from dry, hot environments. With this in mind, you can allow them to dry out a little bit in between waterings. A good visual cue that your tillandsia is thirsty is that its leaves will become more and more curled. A good rule of thumb is watering once a week during the growing season and every other week during the dormant season.

For best care, place the plant in bright, indirect light. The best way to water tillandsia is to submerge them in a bowl of lukewarm water for 10 to 20 minutes. Then shake them vigorously and turn them upside down to dry in an area with good air flow. When they are completely dry, you can place them back in their spot. We also recommend adding air plant fertilizer to their baths in the growing season (April-October).

Varieties may vary based on availability. Online orders will be fulfilled based on what is in stock.
