Nephrolepis cordifolia “Duffii”, aka the Lemon Button Fern, is a wonderfully hardy plant that is very forgiving, making it perfect for newbies and experts alike. Named after their button-like leaves that give off a lemony scent, these plants appreciate bright-indirect light although they tolerate moderate light levels. Make sure to keep the soil evenly moist at all times but these plants don't mind drying out a little bit in between waterings. Provide humidity for your fern via misting, a humidity tray, or clustering with other plants. These plants also do very well in terrariums as they don't mind living in pots without drainage. Fertilize once per month during the growing season.
