Calathea roseopicta, aka the Rose Painted Calathea, is a stunning variety of Calathea that boasts dark maroon leaves and stunning pink variegation. Calathea plants enjoy moderate to lower light levels, high humidity, and evenly moist soil at all times. You can provide adequate humidity for your plant by misting it, using a humidity tray, or grouping with other plants. Position the Calathea plant in moderate indirect sunlight. Keep the plant away from direct sunlight as this will scorch the leaves. Maintain air temperatures around your Calathea of 60 to 70 degrees.
Calatheas can also be a little sensitive to salts in tap water- if you find that their leaves are browning along the edges or at the tips, it could be due to salt accumulation. You can remedy this by providing them filtered water or rainwater.
