Ficus elastica 'Ruby', aka the Variegated Rubber Tree, should be kept in a well-lit room and you will be rewarded with beautiful, ornate foliage. These plants prefer bright indirect light, and the more light they get the more vibrant their variegation becomes. Allow the soil to dry out in between waterings as these plants are susceptible to root rot, especially in lower lighting conditions. Misting intermittently is beneficial but not necessary. Fertilize 1-2 times per month during the growing season.
